Today I spoke to the sky
And asked, “How much time do I have?”
It pointed to the sun and whispered,
“Endure.”
Today I spoke to the night
And asked, “How much time do I have?”
She scattered the stars before me
And softly said, “Pray.”
Today I spoke to the wind
And asked, “How much time do I have?”
It breathed through the leaves
And murmured, “Turn back.”
Today I spoke to the sea
And asked, “How much time do I have?”
It pulled me into its waves
And called, “Return.”
Today I spoke to God
And asked, “How much time do I have?”
He listened… just for a moment—
Then said:
“All you truly have… is now.”
