{"id":383,"date":"2026-06-25T12:22:49","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T12:22:49","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/daviddolganov.com\/?page_id=383"},"modified":"2026-06-25T12:22:49","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T12:22:49","slug":"wake-up-3","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/daviddolganov.com\/?page_id=383","title":{"rendered":"WAKE UP"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-1 wp-block-paragraph\">I woke to drones tearing through the sky,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-2 wp-block-paragraph\">To distant shots and a buzzing swarm of flies.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-3 wp-block-paragraph\">They circle above me, waiting\u2026 waiting still.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-4 wp-block-paragraph\">I opened my eyes \u2014 the sky burned bright,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-5 wp-block-paragraph\">The sun was shining like nothing was wrong.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-6 wp-block-paragraph\">But the ceiling was gone, the roof had fallen,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-7 wp-block-paragraph\">And somewhere above, a rocket screamed along.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-8 wp-block-paragraph\">I tried to rise, to wash away the night,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-9 wp-block-paragraph\">And called out loud \u2014&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-10 wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cMom\u2026 Mom!\u201d&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-11 wp-block-paragraph\">But only silence answered me.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-12 wp-block-paragraph\">She won\u2019t reply anymore.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-13 wp-block-paragraph\">She lies there by the broken window,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-14 wp-block-paragraph\">While flies whisper in the air&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-15 wp-block-paragraph\">Like cruel echoes of forgotten prayers.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-16 wp-block-paragraph\">I wish I could wake the way I used to \u2014&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-17 wp-block-paragraph\">In a small bed, beside my mother\u2019s warmth,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-18 wp-block-paragraph\">To hold my sister close,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-19 wp-block-paragraph\">To hear our little dog\u2019s soft breath,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-20 wp-block-paragraph\">To run into the kitchen&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-21 wp-block-paragraph\">And wrap my arms around my father\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-22 wp-block-paragraph\">But he won\u2019t answer anymore.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-23 wp-block-paragraph\">He lies beside them now \u2014&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-24 wp-block-paragraph\">My mother, my sister,&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-25 wp-block-paragraph\">And our little dog.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-26 wp-block-paragraph\">I just want to wake up&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-27 wp-block-paragraph\">Like before\u2026<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"has-white-color has-text-color has-link-color wp-elements-28 wp-block-paragraph\">*Tashkent, December 9, 2025*<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>I woke to drones tearing through the sky,&nbsp; To distant shots and a buzzing swarm of flies.&nbsp; They circle above me, waiting\u2026 waiting still.
