In your veins \u2014 acid. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
(black, filthy sludge) <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It feeds you. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It lets you stand upright. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
(And no one will doubt it.)<\/p>\n\n\n\n
You were killed as a child \u2014 still small, still a child \u2014 <\/p>\n\n\n\n
and the world didn’t feed you love from the cradle. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
It fed you a thousand sharp shards! <\/p>\n\n\n\n
They pierced you, left wounds on your soul. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
And without wanting to \u2014 you grew a tyrant inside yourself.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The child grew up. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
Left alone with yourself \u2014 you understand: <\/p>\n\n\n\n
the acid controls you.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
